Gregory (Piolo Pascual) is a dedicated film-reel courier. He uses his bike to transport reels of film to theaters so movie houses can show the same flick. Gregory's naivete and his being a romantic by nature, combined with his genuine commitment to his job was primarily influenced by his grandfather, Gramps Paking (Koko Trinidad) who is obsessed with romantic movies and movie stars as well. Gregory meets Anna (Janna Victoria), a bar hostess whom he never fails to rescue from the streets in Quiapo and with whom he eventually falls in love with. Shabby theaters like those he usually carries reels of film to are starting to close because of Manila's modern and high-tech malls. As a way to defend the cinema, he gives out a birthday bash to his grandfather.

Lagarista was an award winning film. Great cinemetography. This was Janna Victoria's first movie and her nude debut. She was the only T&A of this film (Priscilla Almeda made a cameo but wearing a bikini for a short scene). And i think this was also her last nude in film.
